Seminar Guidelines

Select a topic from the list and sign up for it by sending me an email (domino@yorku.ca) ASAP, as they will be assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Your presentation will last about 20 minutes, more if you wish, and you may use PowerPoint, Prezis, or any other visual aid you choose.
Please prepare, print, and distribute a hand-out for the class.
As someone else may be presenting a related topic, you should contact that person to avoid repetition and overlap.

Bibliography
After you have done your presentation, you will email me a bibliography of your consulted sources, with a brief annotation mentioning what you found in each particular source. The bibliography is worth 20% of your final mark.

Please note that, while the net offers many useful, informative, “respectable” sites (from universities, museums, libraries, etc.), your bibliography and presentation should include evidence of scholarly sources.

Do have a look at our textbooks, as they contain articles on your topic or related topics that we do not have time to read. Each of these articles also contains a helpful bibliography.
