Tests

There are two tests (in-class evaluated writing activities) in this course, one at the end of each term, each worth 15% of your final mark.
Their aim is to bring all of the semester’s knowledge together, and each student designs her/his own test by choosing terms from a given list. There are over fifty terms on each list, and each person chooses 5 of them for a short definition (worth 10%), 6 for more complex paragraph-long answers (worth 30%), and 1 topic for an essay (worth 50%).
The last 10% is awarded on the basis of the breadth of topic choices and the depth of formulated answers.
